23rd
Rotaract Club of Kuching's Installation |
The
23rd Rotaract Club of Kuching’s Installation
was held on 1st October 2005 with the theme,
‘COLORIS? The memorable event took place at
Telang Usan Hotel at 6.30pm.
It was to install the presidential
term of President Paulynn Chen and her Board
of Directors. The club had invited Assistant
Governor (Group 13), PP Tan Cho Huat as Guest
of Honour and the sponsoring Rotary club, Rotary
Club of Kuching’s President Josephine Chiew
to grace the eventful evening. It was overall
witnessed by 80 people who were Rotarians, Rotaractors
and guests.
The interesting part of the
program was to celebrate the graduation of Rotaractor
Patrick Chua who is famous for his sense of
humor. Due to his final year in serving the
club for over 4 years, the club members had
all the reasons to tease him on the stage. Although
the night was also part of a word of farewell
to him, the ambience was a joyous one. Other
events included the induction of our new member
Rotaractor Rafie, presentation of 100% attendance
award and etc.
Unlike previous years, the
organizing committee had included a special
performance by a local band called ‘SLAP?and
a singer. This group of young musicians gave
their best show to entertain those who were
present.
It was such a delight for all
who came for the installation night because
the night was filled with laughters in the air.
